FAQs

  • A: Faith. Family. Wellness.

At Treluma Roots, we begin with faith in God’s healing design: the earth, air, and light He gave us as natural, holistic essentials for overall well-being.

Rooted in family values, we encourage intentional self-care in every season of life. Each session takes place in a private, peaceful setting with no shared areas or outside distractions, allowing you to rest, reflect, and recharge.

Our wellness experiences are simple, effective, and designed to fit seamlessly into daily life. Whether on a lunch break, after work, or between errands, we combine natural elements like salt air, light, sound, and frequency-based therapies with a modern, minimalist approach to support balance and renewal.

Even a short visit can feel as restorative as a day at the beach.

  • A: Wear socks and loose, comfortable, light-colored workout clothing or swimwear, depending on the type of therapy. Avoid heavy fabrics so your skin can fully benefit from the treatment. If you have a skin condition, make sure that area is exposed.

  • A: Please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. For red light therapy, protective eye goggles are required. We will provide your first pair for free at your initial visit. After that, please remember to bring them to each session or you may purchase a replacement pair for $3.

  • A: Yes. All of our services are non-invasive, drug-free, and generally safe for most adults and children. If you have medical conditions, please consult your healthcare provider first.

  • A: Session length varies by service. Salt booth sessions are 10-15 minutes, with the option to add a 5–10 minute red light panel boost beforehand. The Sovi Lounger combines light, frequency, and vibroacoustic therapy for a relaxing 20-minute session.

  • A: While some people notice benefits after a single session, the most meaningful experience comes from making these modalities a regular part of your routine and can be used as a continuous preventative measure. Just as spending time in nature supports wellness, our suite brings those elements together in one convenient place, allowing you to incorporate them even on a busy schedule. Many people find that scheduling multiple sessions over time helps build good wellness habits, improves overall well-being, and supports them in continuing on their wellness journey.

  • A: Salt therapy (halotherapy) involves breathing in micro-particles of dry salt, which can help overall well-being, clear airways, support easier breathing, and promote relaxation. It is especially beneficial for people with allergies, asthma, sinus issues, skin concerns, or anyone seeking deep relaxation.

  • A: Salt booths are highly concentrated environments, so 10-15 minutes is enough for you to receive the full benefits. The short duration also ensures comfort, safety, and optimal results.

  • A: Salt therapy is completely natural and has no harmful side effects. Some people may experience mild coughing, a runny nose, or slight throat irritation as mucus clears from the airways. These are signs that the treatment is working. Those with sensitive skin might notice minor irritation.

  • A: We use only 99% Pure Grade Sodium Chloride. This natural salt is carefully refined to remove all contaminants and is free from additives or anti-caking agents found in table salt.

  • A: Session length depends on the intensity and type of equipment used. Our red light therapy devices deliver a higher concentration of light at optimal wavelengths, so shorter sessions are just as effective as longer sessions elsewhere. This allows you to get the full benefits efficiently, safely, and comfortably.

  • A: Light therapy can vary based on three main factors:

    • Wavelengths of light — determine how deeply the light penetrates and what tissues are affected.

    • Pulsing frequency — how quickly the light turns on and off. Some cells respond better when light is delivered in pulses.

    • Intensity (or amount of light delivered) — influences how much energy reaches the body and how effective the session is.

These elements work together to determine the therapy’s effectiveness and are what differentiate various light therapy devices and techniques. Because of these factors, devices can vary greatly in both comfort and results.

Types of Light Used in Therapy:

    • Red light (630–680 nm): Penetrates skin to support circulation and cellular processes. Considered Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT). Can be delivered steady or pulsed.

    • Blue light (405–470 nm): Works on the skin’s surface, supporting clarity and balance. Not part of LLLT, since it doesn’t penetrate deeply.

    • Near-infrared (810–850 nm):Reaches muscles and joints, also considered LLLT. Can be steady or pulsed for added effect.

    • Far-infrared (3000–10,000 nm): Absorbed as heat, supporting comfort and circulation. Not part of LLLT.

    • Chromotherapy (various visible colors): Gentle, surface-level light used for mood and energy balance. Not considered LLLT.

    Devices We Use:
Our suite includes professional-grade systems designed to deliver both targeted and full-body support. Unlike smaller consumer devices, these systems offer:

    • Higher pulsing frequencies (hundreds of times per second) for deeper cellular support

    • Lower pulsing frequencies (10–40 Hz) for relaxation, recovery, or inflammation relief

    • A broad range of available frequencies (from under 100 Hz to several thousand Hz)

    • Larger treatment areas and higher light density

Whether it’s a panel or blanket, each device is engineered for optimal performance and therapeutic effect.

Together, these elements make sessions more effective and versatile, giving you meaningful benefits in shorter, focused visits.

  • A: No. The light is gentle, safe, and non-invasive. You may feel soothing warmth but no pain.

  • A: All of nature operates on frequencies—some we can see, hear, or feel, and others we can’t. Sound therapy uses audible tones, while PEMF, grounding, and Rife work with subtle electromagnetic frequencies that your body feels or responds to at a cellular level. Light therapies use visible colors, like red or blue, as well as invisible wavelengths like infrared. Even when we can’t sense them directly, these frequencies can help the body restore balance.

  • A: Sound therapy involves listening to therapeutic sounds and frequencies designed to calm the nervous system and promote balance. People often experience improved relaxation, better sleep, reduced stress, and a sense of inner harmony.

  • A: Vibroacoustic therapy uses low-frequency sound vibrations delivered through a specialized chair to gently resonate through the body. This deep, soothing vibration helps relax muscles, reduce pain, calm the nervous system, and support emotional balance. Many people report feeling deeply grounded, relaxed, and restored after a session.

  • A: Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy delivers pulsed electromagnetic fields to stimulate cellular energy, improve circulation, and support the body’s natural healing processes. It is commonly used for pain relief, inflammation, joint health, recovery, and overall energy balance.

  • A: Grounding (also known as earthing) reconnects your body to the Earth's natural electrical energy, which may help reduce stress, improve sleep, and restore balance. During a session, you simply rest on a grounding mat designed to mimic direct contact with the Earth. Whether through a mat or barefoot contact, grounding helps balance the body’s electrical state by discharging excess charge. This process involves a subtle, natural background frequency that you absorb rather than hear or see.

  • A: Rife machine therapy uses specific electromagnetic frequencies to support the body’s natural healing processes. During a session, nodes are placed on your palms, delivering these frequencies for about 10 minutes. The treatment is non-invasive, painless, and most people feel relaxed throughout. You won’t hear the frequencies; they are subtle electrical signals transmitted to or around the body.

  • A: Everyday EMFs, like those from phones, Wi-Fi, and microwaves, are high-frequency, man-made signals that are often emitted constantly or in irregular pulses. When you're in close proximity for long periods, such as holding a phone to your head, these signals can be stressful to the body and may interfere with its natural electrical balance.

In contrast, therapeutic EMFs, like PEMF, Rife, and grounding, use low, gentle, or natural frequencies that the body can recognize and respond to in a supportive way. These signals are typically pulsed in controlled, intentional ways (like with PEMF and Rife), or provide a steady, natural background frequency, as with grounding. Because they are designed to align with the body's natural rhythms, they support biological balance, help restore energy, and encourage healing rather than stress.
